Every one of our entrees has a predetermined side or sides. For
example, our chicken dinners come with JoJo Potatoes and
Coleslaw. Lets assume you don’t like my Coleslaw
You
can
substitute many other items. Most of those items will not incur
up charges. Some of those items
will. Basically speaking, there is a price for each item in the
dinners/entrees. For example coleslaw is priced at $1.59 for 8
Oz. If you want to substitute 8 Oz of corn or beans or peas for
the 8 Oz of coleslaw, those are also $1.59 so the substitution
has no up charge.
But if you wanted to substitute onion rings for the Coleslaw,
the Onion Rings are $3.99. So we subtract the basic price for
the Coleslaw, which is $1.59 from the basic price of the Onion
Rings which is $3.99 giving a difference of 2.40 which would be
the up charge. Note, these are examples of substitutions.
We do not substitute
items on our Specialty Pizzas. That is because there are 100's
and 100's of combinations of substitutions that cannot easily be
programmed in the computer. What we have seen, is a customer
wants to remove an item that costs me 20¢ such as green peppers
with an item that costs me $1.99 such as Philly steak and expect
it to be an equal swap. We will take anything off your Specialty
Pizza for free. We will add anything to your pizza with the
price allocated to the size of Pizza you are ordering.
